•Obtain ANY x-rays pertaining to issue to be addressed from regular veterinarian or specialist IF ANY HAVE BEEN TAKEN.

Common Questions

Cancellation Policy:
Due to the nature of this practice, there is a 24 hour cancellation requirement. Late cancellations and missed appointments will be assessed a fee. Confirmation of the cancellation must be made no later than 24 business hours before the appointment. For example, to cancel an appointment scheduled for Monday at 9am, a call must be received and confirmed by 9am Friday. Please note: MISSED appointments will be charged the full cost scheduled appointment time.

Office Visits

As of April 1, 2008, VPC is operating in a NEW LOCATION just 2 miles from our former location.  Vitality Pet Care (VPC) is leasing space above the City Vet Clinic (CVC) on Oak Lawn.  The goal for this new space is to create a holistic center that encompasses VPC, massage, Reiki, TTouch, acupressure, canine rehabilitation and others in an effort to offer clients many more treatment options for their furry friends. The new address is:

Dr. Pam will temporarily see patients on the first floor of the building in the City Vet Clinic starting April 1st until the permanent office space on the second floor is completed in early May.

Services are charged at an hourly rate. All nutritional consultations, acupuncture treatments, and chiropractic treatments are included in the hourly rate. Homeopathic case analysis, nutritional supplements, Chinese herbs and homeopathic remedies are extra. The initial appointment is 1.5 hours. Follow up appointments are charged by time, starting at 30 minutes and increasing in 15 minute intervals thereafter.


Phone Consultations (available to existing clients only)

Phone consultations are available to existing clients, following the initial home visit. Time is assessed in 5 minute increments, rounding up to the next unit of time. For example, 8 minutes is rounded to 10 minutes for the purpose of determining charges. If you are an existing client and have a quick question, there will be no charge. Any call over 5 minutes will be assessed a fee.

After Hours Policy

For existing clients, this site has a password-protected Trouble-Shooting Guide. It is intended to assist existing clients in MINOR issues after normal business hours. If you feel that your pet is in immediate danger, contact your regular veterinarian or an emergency veterinary clinic as soon as possible.
